MRS.EGBE OSIKHENA
Egbe is a Partner in the Firm. She heads the Firm’s Corporate Commercial/ Transactions Advisory Groups. She is a graduate of the University of Benin and further to her interest in Business, Company and Commercial Law, she also holds an LL.M in Commercial Law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and a Masters of Business Administration from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State.
Egbe is a seasoned lawyer with experience in the aspect of Corporate, Company Secretarial and Commercial practice as well as both local and International Debt Recovery. She is a highly experienced advocate and transactional lawyer with over a decade’s cognate experience in Corporate Commercial/Transaction advisory, Mergers and Acquisitions(M&A), Debt Recovery, Intellectual Property Law and general Civil Litigation.
She has reviewed, advised and represented a wide range of foreign and local Clients in several notable transactions, contracts and disputes emanating within and outside the country. Following her stellar practice in law and her work in the Maritime Sector, she was part of the team that prepared the handbook for stakeholders in the Nigerian Maritime Sector, in furtherance of the Maritime ( ISPS Code) Regulation and the ISPS Code which regulates the Nigerian Maritime sector.
Prior to joining E&P Legal, Egbe worked in a foremost reputable Lagos based Law Firm wherein she contributed to the Firm’s Intellectual Property Law and Entertainment Law practice under the General Practice Group. She had also worked as an in-house Counsel to a Company who were consultants to a Federal Government Agency, where she had routinely advised and reviewed contracts and documents involving the Company and the International Oil Companies(IOCs) operating in Nigeria.
Egbe is vastly experienced in and outside legal practice, a key attribute in her, which has brought about an immense flexibility and versatility in her delivery of services to the Firm’s local and foreign Clients. She is a highly smart and intelligent legal practitioner who is knowledgeable in diverse areas of the Nigeria law and procedure.
She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN).
